Experiencing out-of-body experiences inevitably leads you on to questions about the so called ‘afterlife’, once you experience yourself independent of your physical body you realise that consciousness does continue after death, we understand through personal experience that consciousness can indeed exist without the physical body.
“As my out-of-body experiences continued, this observation was confirmed time and again. One thing was certain, I could think without my physical brain.” William Buhlman
So if we accept that there is an ‘afterlife’ what is it all about, where do we go and in what way does life continue. The traditional idea that I was brought up with is that we die, hang up the boots and go to eternal rest. My out-of-body experiences has proved this otherwise. I use the word ‘proved’ meaning proved to me I’m not out to prove it to other people I believe everyone should have their own experiences and make up their own minds.
I have seen that rather than eternal rest the ride continues, there is work to be done, issues to be resolved, the need to develop and grow spiritually. It is just as easy to get caught up in astral consensus realities as it is to get caught up in the drama on Earth. We have no death education in the western world, most of us grow up with death seen as a subject to be spoken about in a low voice with a degree of quiet respect, it is almost taboo. When we die many of us just don’t know what we should be doing, indeed it may even be a shock that we find we are still consciously aware, we may not even realise that we are dead.
It is with these words that I leave you with this video of a very interesting talk of William Buhlman, he himself having been diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer and having had to face the possibility of his own death sooner than he thought.
Thank you Ali for this information. You are awesome.
Thanks!
