My First Out-of-Body Experience

July 31, 2018 by AliWings Leave a Comment

My first conscious out-of-body experience (OBE) was very simple but I’ll always remember it for the joy it gave me. I use the term ‘conscious’ as we all leave our bodies at night, though we are not always aware of it. I had been studying my dreams for a while, I wanted to learn how to lucid dream at will and was practising techniques to achieve my goal. My desire at this time was to expand my inner knowledge, to contact the part of me that is not physical, a higher source. My OBE was spontaneous. One night I woke up inside my sleeping body, I felt slight vibrations which I would describe as fizzy. It was a marvellous sensation. I could see a little light coming through the blinds.

As I focused on the window I suddenly found myself floating near the ceiling. I had read about OBEs so I was aware of what was happening to me and was not afraid. I felt wonderful, weightless and full of joy. I found movement difficult and soon found myself back in my fizzing body. The vibrations were like thousands of electric shocks though they were not painful. I managed to get out again and once more found myself floating near the ceiling. The same sensation of lightness and freedom filled me. I re-entered my body and woke up fully, both mind and body. I went back to sleep again, excited for what had happened and when I finally woke up the following morning the feeling remained with me. I wanted to tell everyone, though I didn’t, I wasn’t sure if people would take me seriously.

I felt so good, as if I had opened up a path to that part of my Self that I had been missing, that I had longed for. I’ve been out on a regular basis ever since that first OBE. It was like riding a bike and I knew that I would never forget how to repeat the experience. I had found my inner button. We can all have conscious OBEs and by doing so expand our consciousness, it is, of course, not the only way to grow spiritually, but it is a way that works for me. We are all individuals and have our own paths. Since I began my inner journey synchronicities have increased, my ability to find lost objects and solve problems, meet the right people at the right time. Life becomes easier as being connected to an inner source, in-tuition, makes life flow more smoothly. That first time was the beginning of a wonderful adventure into Self.

We are all different, yet the same, we are all individuals, yet we all have something in common, our souls. Like Doctor Who’s TARDIS we are bigger on the inside than the outside. Each of us is a time lord and we, too, can travel back and forwards, moving across time. Just like Stargate, the film and the TV series, we can all be our own SG1 squad and travel to other planets, dimensions and realities. We can travel into the beyond through out-of-body experiences. Leaving your body is not difficult but at times it does involve dedication and consistency. It may also mean changing your whole outlook on life. The most important thing, before any technique, is belief. If you don’t believe you can do something then you won’t, this is true of everything in life. You have to believe. Scepticism should be discarded, it can be a wall blocking the entrance into an incredible new world.

There are many techniques to choose from and so much information in various books and on the Internet. Choose the technique which appeals to you and stick with it. Consistency is all important because it is only through this that the mind can be programmed. It is all about programming your mind to wake you up at the right moment. The panic factor is often a reason preventing progress, fear of the unknown or simply being so excited that when something starts to happen, it all stops. Staying calm is important, comfortable in the knowledge that we are powerful light beings and nothing can harm us.

There are guides who help us, we are never alone. You will not get lost out there or not be able to return. In fact, the problem is the opposite, staying out as long as possible. Sooner or later there is always something that pulls you back to the physical, the alarm clock, your child crying, the dog barking or the call of nature. Like any desire you have in life, you have to focus your thoughts and actions on your goal. Exploring the inner realms is a marvellous adventure and so rewarding. It is a way of helping others and the Earth. A gateway to healing and self-knowledge, a gateway to our wonderful universe, a portal to the beyond.

Happy travels!
