Something that always makes me laugh in the morning is when I wake up thinking ‘oh well no OBEs or projections this morning never mind there’s always tonight. I get up go downstairs, put the kettle on, let the dog out, grab a coffee and return to bed with computer on lap catching up on emails and browsing facebook still in that ‘I’m not quite awake zone.’
Then suddenly I remember, I did project, and my mind goes through what happened and now it is as clear as day. My dreaming mind has a habit of putting me in potentially dangerous situations in my dreams so I then say to myself that all is ok because I’m dreaming and I won’t get hurt. At which point I become lucid and convert the dream to an astral experience.
The dreaming mind is so clever, this time I was in a lift and we had to go up to a high floor to get something, I was getting a bit anxious and had a feeling the lift was going to break. I wanted to get out and walk but the lift wouldn’t stop and I knew then that it was going to burst out the building like the Willy Wonka lift. That was my waking up point I said to the people in the lift, ‘hey don’t worry it’s only a dream we can all fly.’
I was lucid so I then made the intention to go into the astral. When I set my intention sometimes the dream dissolves around me or as in this case a window or door appears, or other times if I fly very fast upwards I find myself in the astral realms. Having set my intention I thought it would be interesting to go through a wall instead of the usual window so I flew into a white wall, it was fascinating as I was inside this wall and I could see all the layers it was made up by. I left the wall and went back to where I had been and went through the window instead. On the other side was a town, it was very busy, cars and people everywhere, it was all very well organised but it all seemed rather ‘dry’ without feeling. In the distance I could see green hills and really I would have preferred to be flying over them than in this city where there seemed to be no joy, there was something missing. I have been to many cities while in the astral, some so beautiful they are impossible to describe, some empty of people, there are so many out there. The astral is such a diverse environment.
So do some people end up in towns like the one I saw when they die? It wasn’t a bad place but not exactly heaven, it seemed rather automated. I think it could be a big mistake to think that when we die we go straight to what people call ‘heaven’, live an automated life and your after death experience may match how you lived your life.
Just a thought.
