A few days ago five words entered my mind, the title of this article – ‘It’s all about evolution’ – at the bottom of all our life experiences, joys and sorrows, laughter and sadness, the reason behind it all is evolution. It was as if my higher self just popped those words in my head to ponder, so ponder I did.
A few days later I was listening to a CD and ‘Live is Life’ came on by Opus, a great song from 1985 that always used to get everyone up on the dance floor. As I was driving along listening the lyrics took on a new meaning. I don’t know if it is legal to post all the lyrics here so I won’t apart from a few lines, here is the video of the song so you can listen.
The song on the surface, at least how I see it, talks about a concert, that live music is life, that while the band plays if the audience get involve and sing and dance then everyone gets the best experience. At the end the audience have enjoyed the concert so much they want an encore, they have given their all and because of this receive the best.
However, as I was listening the song took on a deeper meaning for me. The concert became symbolic of life, of life across time and space, the band/the music – source energy the music of the universe and beyond.
“All together now” at the beginning is symbolic of how everything is happening at the same time, how all our lives are happening now in the present. When we all give our best, when each of our incarnations does the best they can, then we receive power, when we sing each other’s songs, when we communicate across ‘time’ through the present and all work together towards our own evolution then we can grow.
“When everyone gives everything
And every song everybody sings.”
When we connect to source energy, to the music of life, then we are in tune with who we are, in tune with Life.
“Live is life, when the feeling of the people
Live is life, is the feeling of the band”
My favourite two lines of the song are:
“Every minute of the future
Is a memory of the past”
All is present, time doesn’t exist and then once we have all done our best, once we have given everything and sang every song then we will evolve and grow into who we truly are.
