Something that always makes me laugh in the morning is when I wake up thinking ‘oh well no OBEs or projections this morning never mind there’s always tonight. I get up go downstairs, put the kettle on, let the dog out, grab a coffee and return to bed with computer on lap catching up on emails and browsing facebook still in that ‘I’m not quite awake zone.’
I love meditating, just allowing myself to let go for a while of the physical reality and expanding my consciousness into the beyond. Sometimes the human body seems so small to fit into, it feels like wearing a pair of tight jeans.
A few days ago five words entered my mind, the title of this article – ‘It’s all about evolution’ – at the bottom of all our life experiences, joys and sorrows, laughter and sadness, the reason behind it all is evolution. It was as if my higher self just popped those words in my head to ponder, so ponder I did.
Don’t you just love it when those synchronicities pop up, they give you that sense that there is a greater plan at work that someone somewhere has everything under control and can guide you in the direction you wish to go.
Mindfulness is becoming more and more popular because it actually works for many of the problems we have in life.
Basically mindfulness is about being aware in life, aware of your thoughts particularly and not allowing yourself to get involved in the endless chatter that goes on in our heads, it is about focusing on the present moment. Being present in our lives makes every moment important because you are there living it fully, how many moments do we miss in life as we are thinking about the future or stressing about the past, before we know it months have past, years and we lived most of that time lost in the endless noise in our minds.
Don’t you just love it when things happen making you stop for a moment and ponder on the bigger picture. One morning last week I was driving my kids to school a song came on the radio and I started singing along. ‘Pompeii’ by Bastille. The chorus goes like this:
