This morning I had to smile a little when I woke up as my daughter actually helped me wake up inside my sleeping body. I was lying in bed and my daughter popped her head round the door and said, ‘I’ve woken up because there was some light coming into the room.’ I replied ‘Oh it doesn’t matter I’ll get up.’ I got up and thought I was really awake, then I thought that my daughter wouldn’t wake me up to tell me that. Normally, she’d probably turn over and go back to sleep as it was still a little early.
Fear is often a difficult hurdle to get over in the astral. The fear of the unknown. I always remember one of my early experiences.
My first conscious out-of-body experience (OBE) was very simple but I’ll always remember it for the joy it gave me. I use the term ‘conscious’ as we all leave our bodies at night, though we are not always aware of it. I had been studying my dreams for a while, I wanted to learn how to lucid dream at will and was practising techniques to achieve my goal. My desire at this time was to expand my inner knowledge, to contact the part of me that is not physical, a higher source. My OBE was spontaneous. One night I woke up inside my sleeping body, I felt slight vibrations which I would describe as fizzy. It was a marvellous sensation. I could see a little light coming through the blinds.
This OBE is a good example about how we can connect to others during OBEs. I had gone up to the attic to sleep at about 2am due to my husband’s snoring. In the early hours of the morning I had the following OBE.
